Jean Gallman of Jean’s Custom Show Fashions has designed our Queens’ outfits for Congress and donated chaps with each one for the past four years. At the VAQH Classic, Courtney shopped with Jean and chose her outfit for the horsemanship competition at Congress.
As in the past years Jean outfitted our Queen in fine fashion. Not just for horsemanship, but for those interviews and walk-around outfits that make such an impression.
Last year, when we were shopping for Kendall’s outfit, Jean knowing our budget and the economy, offered to donate an additional pair of custom made chaps to us and suggested we sell 500 chances to benefit the fund.
This year we started that. We were only able to sell 381 chances but that is $381 we would not have had it Jean had not shown such generosity to our VQHA Queens’ Program.
The winner for those chaps was drawn at the VA Classic and it was Hope Turner from North Carolina.
Congrats to Hope! And another big THANK YOU to Jean for all of her attention to our Virginia Queens. We are so lucky to have her design advice and so grateful for all of her considerations and assistance.
