VQHYA Novice/Novice Western Pleasure – Southern States ShowDown

The VQHYA will be hosting another Novice Horse/Novice Rider Western Pleasure class at the Southern States ShowDown.

The class will be held Friday night, June 4th, starting at 6:00pm during the Exhibitors’ Party.

Horses that have not won over $1,000 and riders that have not won over $1,000 are eligible to compete.

The class will have an entry fee of $20 and it will be single-judged. The exhibitors will be auctioned off calcutta-style, with the winner of the calcutta will take away 60% of the money.

All earnings from the calcutta will benefit the VQHYA 2010 World Show Team.

In a calcutta auction, each of the exhibitors in the class will be auctioned off to the highest bidder. The audience is bidding on the horse they think will win the class. The high bidder of the horse that places 1st will take away 60% of the calcutta money.
