3 Carol Wilt September 15, 2010 at 3:15 pm: Points have not been updated for 2 months now, do you know when they might be done again. It really makes it hard to know where you stand and how close they are. Also it’s a long time to get mistakes corrected and keep track of. Thanks for listening!
4 admin September 17, 2010 at 11:26 pm: Carol, We have not updated the points for a while because we were waiting on an updated Membership Roster – we haven’t had one since April. And don’t worry about mistakes – the Open Show Coordinator has a good system she’s perfected over the past 4 or 5 years. There a few, if any, mistakes and all are taken care of in short order.
5 Rachel October 3, 2010 at 10:36 am: This is my first year submitting points. What do these points earn us at the end of the year? And when is the deadline for the year to turn them all in? thanks
6 admin October 3, 2010 at 10:48 am: Hi Rachel, Good question. Perennially divisions Champions and Reserve Champions have received some really nice prizes. Champions usually get a belt buckle they can wear proudly. Depending how much money we have generously been awarded by the Virginia Horse Board we give prizes at least through 3rd. The prizes are given out at the Year End Awards Banquet held early the following year. If you download or read the complete rules from the Open Show Program page you’ll note points can be submitted until November 30. Just remember, points only count if submitted from a show within the prior 30 days. Thanks for your question and good luck!
