Youth members are reminded that the deadline for submitting a Letter of Intent for attending the Youth Excellence Seminar is approaching fast. The Letter of Intent is available on the website for any youth that are interested in attending. The deadline is February 26th, with a discount if you register online by March 1st.

The VQHA Meeting and Banquet will be held as scheduled tomorrow, February 8th.
The weather forecast is calling for bad weather the weekend of the Banquet. The Board is looking into an alternate date in case it does snow. Updates will be available here as they become available.
Please make your reservations for the upcoming Banquet by February 1st. You can do this by sending the form back to Laura Boardwine or make the reservation online here. The hotel has to be notified by Feb. 3rd of how many people will be attending.

We will be holding an election for the Youth Director position. The two candidates are Kathryn LaBarre and Katey Ralls. Ballots will be in the mail on or before January 1, 2014, and the election results will be announced at the VQHA Banquet in February.
The Region 5 Youth Conference will be held February 28-March 1, 2014 in Gettysburg, PA. All youth members are welcome to attend, at their own expense. There will be a chaperone and carpool available as needed. Please contact Katey Ralls for more info… firstname.lastname@example.org or 202-365-7808.
Due the to weather, the VQHA Board meeting that was scheduled for tomorrow has been cancelled. The meeting will be rescheduled for later this week, probably as a conference call.

AQHA will be hosting a judges seminar in Nashville, TN on January 9-11, 2014. These seminars are open to any AQHA member interested in becoming a judge or just wanting to learn more about how classes are judged. Vist this link for more information.
