Virginia Bred Program
We are still accepting stallion nominations for 2009. Nominations are being accepted throughout the year up to the date of the September Futurity. The rate for this year is a flat rate for $300.00.
The Virginia Quarter Horse Association (VQHA) Virginia Bred Program (VBP) provides an opportunity for responsible Virginia mare owners to promote, market, and show their offspring by nominated stallions in the Virginia Bred Program. Virginia Bred offers special pay back futurity classes, which are restricted to offspring of mares, owned and bred by Virginia residents. Any stallion registered with American Quarter Horse Association (AQHA), Appaloosa Horse Council (ApHC), American Paint Horse Association (APHA), Palomino Horse Breeders Association (PHBA) (Stockbreed only), International Buckskin Horse Association/ American Buckskin Registry Association (IBHA/ABRA), American Pinto Horse Association (AptHA) (Stockbreed only), or Jockey Club (JC) may be nominated to the VBP with registered owner approval.
We will be having four classes added to the Fredericksburg Fireworks Spectacular:
- Non-Pro All Age Hunter under Saddle
- Non-Pro All Age Western Pleasure
- 2&3 YO Western Pleasure
- 2&3 YO Hunter under Saddle.
