The VQHA Show Season Starts in 3..2..1

March 11, 2019

The VQHA is excited to kick off the 2019 show season with the Spring Breakout, in Lexington Virginia this weekend. Suzanne Gonzales has worked hard to put on, what is shaping up to be a great show!! As of now there are over 370 stalls sold!!

The VQHA awards banquet will be held Friday night at the show. If you are interested in attending please RSVP to Mike Stoher, as soon as possible, so that he can work with the caterer to plan accordingly.

If you haven’t already done so, this is a great time to renew your VQHA membership!! Don’t forget to nominate your horse if you are showing and would like to participate in the year end awards program. The show office will be accepting membership applications throughout the weekend.

While you are at the show, make sure to attend the Virginia Maiden on Saturday night. The Virginia Maiden is a premier 3 & over maiden Western pleasure event, featuring some of the best trainers in the country. During this event the VQHA will be auctioning off a beautiful Harris Leather halter donated by Judy Purks, widow of Bob Purks. Bob loved the VQHA organization; before he passed he asked Judy to make sure that the halter was donated to the VQHA to be used for a fundraiser. This is an opportunity to purchase a beautiful Harris halter, that was once owned by a very special man.
