Western Dressage – Come Try Something New!!!

Calling all adventurous folks! It’s always more fun to try new things with friends, so we would like to invite you to join us at the Double Edge Dressage Show June 13th and 14th to try out Western Dressage (or even classic dressage if you’re feeling really crazy!). We show Saturday and Sunday but for those who are able to arrive Friday afternoon we’ll be gathering to ride and practice together – Hillary Rapier and Ellen Hudgins will be there (amateurs met them at our annual ammy meeting) to answer questions and share insights into this exciting new opportunity in a low-key schooling environment. And this show counts for our western dressage year end awards!

The show is being held at Mane Gate Equestrian Center, Natural Bridge, about 10 minutes south of Lexington on 81. They have 10×20 shed row stalls, hookups and plenty of room for schooling. We’d love for everyone to get together for some socializing as well on Friday or Saturday night depending on when people are coming. Come join us even if you’re not joining the year end awards program, this is a great way to see what its all about and share some fun times with others who love our Quarter Horses!

We are enormously grateful to the Virginia Horse Industry Board for funding to support our pilot program.

Please reach out to anyone on the Western Dressage committee with questions or let us know if you’re coming so we can include you in our communications!
