Upcoming Board Planning Session:

The Board will be having a planning session in January to prepare for our 2025 year. We will be
bringing the output from this session to the annual membership meeting at the banquet.

We did this two years ago and found it to be very helpful; many members joined us and brought
tremendous insight to our discussion so we would like to extend an invite for any VQHA member to
attend this session as well.

We do need to know if you are interested in attending so we can plan for how we run the session

What are our top priorities to accomplish this year? Next 3 years?

Specific topics:
o Membership growth and engagement
o Leadership pipeline
o Modifications to the Show Contest and Rules
o Membership/points process(es)
o Financial processes
o Coordination of fundraising (at shows, at the banquet)
o Communication (overall communications strategy, how we handle social media, logistics about
shows, communicating wins)
o Grants/grant funding
o Board structure/operating guidelines
o Youth structure (if we have enough youth parents attending – might need to do this separately)
