This program has been developed by the Virginia Quarter Horse Association and made possible through a grant from the Virginia Horse Industry Board.
It provides special high-point year-end awards for horses born in Virginia that compete at select show circuits.
It is open to all horses born in Virginia, regardless of breed.
How to enter

- Nominate your horse. Complete the form on the next page. Pay the nomination fee of $20 per horse.
- A nomination fee must be paid for each show circuit in which a horse is shown.
- Nominate by July 1 to have all 2026 class placings/points count. If you nominate after that date, only placings/points accrued after nomination will count.
- Nomination fees paid by exhibiors will be added to the award monies for each club.
- When each show circuit tabulates their year-end awards, the high-point Virginia-bred horses will be eligible for special high-quality awards.
- The awards program is supported through a grant from the Virginia Horse Industry Board and nomination fees. Award monies will be based on the number of participating individuals and organizations. Funding for awards will come from the nomination fees and grant funding from the Virginia Horse Industry Board.
- High point awards for each organization will be provided in these categories: high point champion and reserve amateur; high point champion and reserve youth.
