The Virginia Quarter Horse Youth Association is thrilled to celebrate a major
accomplishment—four of our outstanding youth members have officially qualified to
compete at the 2025 AQHYA World Championship Show in Oklahoma City this
summer!
The AQHYA World Show is the premier event for youth Quarter Horse exhibitors across
the nation and beyond. Held annually, it draws the top youth riders from every state and
international affiliate to compete in a wide variety of classes that showcase both
horsemanship and the versatility of the American Quarter Horse. From western
pleasure and ranch riding to hunter under saddle, showmanship, and more—this show
is the pinnacle of youth achievement in the AQHA world.
Qualifying for this prestigious event is no easy feat. These riders have spent the last
year logging long hours in the barn, competing at shows throughout the state and
region, and dedicating themselves to improving their skills, building strong partnerships
with their horses, and representing Virginia with pride. Their commitment,
sportsmanship, and determination have earned them the opportunity to step onto one of
the biggest stages in the Quarter Horse industry.
We are incredibly proud of the following VQHYA members who will be representing
Virginia this year:
- Cole Gouthro
- Brody Marshall
- Arielle Boyette
- Lindsey Atkins
- Abigail Lee
As they prepare to make the trip to Oklahoma City, we know they’ll continue to uphold
the values of VQHYA—hard work, leadership, and a love for the horse. Please join us in
wishing them the best of luck as they prepare for the show of a lifetime!
Stay tuned to our social media pages for updates and photos from the show in August
as we cheer on Team Virginia all the way.
